In traditional real estate practice, in order to get your property listed in the MLS, Sellers are required to sign a Listing Agreement with a real estate broker, and are usually required to pay that broker a 5% or 6% commission based on the sales price of the home.

Let’s assume that your house sells for $300,000.  If you agree to pay a traditional 5% sales commission to the Listing Broker, your commission cost would be:

soldRight off the top, $15,000 of your profit goes towards paying just the sales commission.  If the Buyer uses their own agent, then that agent and the Listing Broker split the $15,000.  If a Buyer’s Agent is not involved, then the Listing Broker usually keeps the entire $15,000.  It’s a good deal for the real estate agents, but not such a good deal if you are the Seller.

Centre Court Real Estate Group believes that you should be able to keep as much profit as possible from the sale of your home.  So we drastically cut our sales commissions to make sure you do.

The amount of sales commission you pay Centre Court Real Estate Group to sell your home depends on whether the Buyer uses their own agent or not.  But our unique pricing structure saves you money, regardless.

If the Buyer has their own agent, our portion of the sales commission is only 1% of the sales price ($1,999 minimum).  If the Buyer does not have their own agent, then we only charge you a total of 2% of the sales price.

Look at the two different scenarios.  Assume the final sales price of your home is $300,000.  Remember, with a traditional sales commission structure, you pay $15,000 regardless whether the Buyer has their own agent or not (assuming a 5% sales commission).

If the Buyer has their own agent, you will usually be required to pay that agent 2.5% of the sales price if the property is listed in the Tallahassee Board of Realtors MLS.  Since this is not negotiable, at Centre Court Real Estate Group, we cut our commission so you can keep more of your own profit.

Plus, if the Buyer does not have their own agent, we really save you money reducing our sales commission from 5% to 2%.
